tyler julian klein was born to a self-proclaimed artist who dabbled into controversial forms of art, particularly feminism, (though her real day job, she preached art and feminism at the local high school) and a city police officer. she is eldest of four; her three sisters from oldest to youngest are named josephine, cleo and harmony. they were a family of modest income, tyler's father passed over two years ago.

as far as a myers-briggs type, tyler closely identifies as an infp. "the idealist." she often goes through existential crises and her main goal in life is to find out her purpose. driven on helping people. thoughtful and very considerate. she can come off as reserved in expressing emotion but she has a very deep caring and genuinely interested in understanding people. affectionate with people she knows well. does not like conflict. aggressive defender. more of a feeler than someone who thrives on logic. she feels better writing out her feelings than verbally speaking them. a bit of a perfectionist which in turn causes her to be very hard on herself. she has struggled with mental stability but it's something she would never be open about.

theodore "Teddy" klein - east coast born and stock broker dreams cut short after the sudden death of his father. moved to washington after being offered a job of police chief of a small tourist town called long beach. got power hungry and became a corrupt cop. particularly involved in theft of illegal substances. ruthless, sadistic son of a bitch who never actually got his hands dirty. has probably hugged tyler a total of ten times in the twenty-two years. allergic to emotions. was still salty about never having a son. lowkey despised his wife. lived to torment daughters' significant others because i guess there was a smidge of 'protective' father instinct in there. died because of (you guessed it) overdose.

eleanor "ellie" klein - young university student who fell in love with the wrong man and only figured it out when it was too late. blue blood. after finding out she was pregnant with josephine, she was married to theo klein for the sake of wanting to keep the family together. lowkey despised her husband. has slept with at least four other men throughout their marriage. has since apologized to the klein children about their parent's marriage. nevertheless, loved all four of them with all of her heart. has made the effort to be there for her children since her her husband's passing.

josephine mckenna (nee klein) - eldest of the klein girls. has been living in surrey, england, united kingdom since she was nineteen. and now with her english-born husband trent mckenna and their two year old, malachi. works as an accountant for a big time firm. is the closest to tyler in age and overall sibling-ness. which also means she's always been very protective over her. has taken over a "parental" role to her younger sisters when their parents tried to get their shit together.

tyler klein - seemingly suffered from middle child syndrome. her father was particularly hard on her and often cited that she "was too soft.", then more so when he realized she had a interest in both men and women. seeked validation from both of her parents. her mother was more likely to give it. moved, ahem, ran away when theo passed away and many stories of awful things he did while in the force came out; leaving a mourning wife with her younger sisters. feels guilty but has found home in california.

harmony klein - second youngest klein. has decided not to go to university and lives with her mother and younger sister. currently works retail at a tourist shop. is in a band with cleo (they've been fighting over the band name for literal years.) their music is like if the cure and the beach boys had a baby. lowkey has a grudge against tyler since she lives in california and left them behind. vegan. loud. really wants to be stevie nicks.

cleo klein - youngest klein. is very close to her sister, harmony. an art student and kinda following the footsteps of her mother. likes music but it isn't a priority as it is to her older sister. feels very distant to her father, although she's been told she was his favorite. doesn't not like tyler but just doesn't know her so doesn't understand harmony's keen distrust of their sister. very quiet. goes with the flow kind of girl.

this could be really long but all i gotta say is,

i won't multiship, i reply really slow (and it's not your fault, all i ask is to be respectful to me, i'm trying,) i absolutely won't entertain assault, rape or general gross things involving minors.

i try to reach out to those i see wanting to write on my tl but i am, a little shy, so if you see this and want to begin a roleplay, i hope you consider this a sign. i'm okay with doing simple things to more in-depth storylines (i have pretty cool AUs if i do say so myself.)
